Howdy.

Has anyone ran into problems with certain modules when saving projects as vsti s?

I've been able to export a simple vst effect and a very simple instrument that work as expected in my host, ableton live. However, when I save my more complex project as a vst, the dll is no longer recognized as a valid plugin by the host.

This may be a problem peculiar to ableton,

In general, however, are there any tricks to make projects more compatible?

Or perhaps a way to convert the synthedit created vst to a more robust .dll?

thanks in advance for any insight

a knows problem recently posted on yahoogroup is :
"do not put a midi output" to prevent ableton live! crashes.

suggestion : send a .se1 to Jeff (the authors) including the bug.

I see. I don't have any midi output set up in my synth. However, I have since gotten it to work in vsthost, so the problem is on the ableton end.

I'm planning on updating my ableton soon so maybe things will sort out.

For now it's frustrating because the plug won't even load in ableton, so I can't get a bug report to troubleshoot.

Thanks for your time. I'll post back when I figure it out.
